About Us

Kansas Opportunities for Online Learning (KOOL) is the collaborative effort of Smoky Hill Educational Service Center (Salina) and Southwest Plains Regional Service Center (Sublette). This partnership arose to meet the need of Kansas high schools to provide high quality online courses which meet both state standards and local needs. A wide variety of courses including Spanish and high school physics are available through our partnership with Advanced Academics, Inc. These courses are suitable for alternative learning, advanced placement, makeup work and dropout recovery. It is the goal of KOOL to make these valuable resources available to 7-12 students throughout the state of Kansas.
